That's how I feel about Capaldi. I think he is the best of the new series Doctor, but he had some of the worst stories and episodes. That said, even if the bad episodes he absolutely killed it with his performance. If he had stronger seasons I think he'd be universally regarded as the best.

That episode was so much fun.

I think it really helped that Chris Hemsworth nailed the VO performance. Definitely stood out as being much better than the other returning actors in this series. I especially liked how he did those little whiny whelps as he was getting tossed around and punched. Very funny.

The fact that the right will steadfastly go against any policy the left supports, even for things that would benefit them and that they previously agreed with (and have somehow forgotten that they did), is so stunningly stupid. Less than a year ago when Trump has boasting about the vaccine being made they didn't have any issues, but now when nothing has changed about it except that Biden wants people to take they suddenly have a big problem with it? It's something that would help end the pandemic and help the country re-open fully again, things that the right WANT, and they still argue against it. I use to joke that Republicans hate Democratic policies so much that they'd argue against a proposal that was purely beneficial to them, and now I see that isn't even limited to something that would save their lives. What a joke.

Last time I was sick was in February of 2020. I knew covid had hit the states by then, but it was still not that widespread. I think there were like three confirmed cases in my region.

Beyond that I hadn't gotten sick. I woke up with a sore throat one morning, but it went away by the end of the day. Occasionally felt sniffly, but I also have terrible congestion problems by default, so it wasn't that noteworthy. Considering the previous years I would get sick about once a month things have been a lot better...

Every time I think a certain episode was the last one Chadwick Boseman did he appears again. This one did seem to have 'finality' to it. Especially with that ending narration. I wonder if that was a rewrite. I wonder if the ending itself was rewritten to be more optimistic...

Played and beat the Story Mode co-op with a friend tonight. Pretty fun. As always I love the style and presentation of these games. The different characters add a ton of variety and replayability. Haven't tried the other modes yet though.

Not quite sure if it's worth the full price tag, but luckily I only had to pay about $15 for it, so I think I'll enjoy it for the long run.

The amount of abuse that occurs in jail is so incredibly awful that even considering it as an option, even if you have no where else to go, is a TERRIBLE idea.

I'm trying to figure out how much of this is hypothetical question because the way you casually say "you may stay at shelters" is said in such a way that it sounds just like a fantasy in the same way as saying "you suddenly become homeless for this experiment". Homeless shelters are often EXTREMELY overcrowded and can be incredibly dangerous and harmful to stay at on their own. There's a reason a lot of homeless people choose to sleep on the streets over a shelter, it's often safer and more comfortable.

And it's also worth mentioning that in many places it's basically illegal to be homeless, so there's not even much a choice here. This topic is stupid.

Also, the first moment I can I drop Sharla in Xenoblade. You don't really need all of her healing Arts in that game, her Arts make it hard to do Chain Attack combos, and if I have to hear the phrase "My rifle's getting hotter!" one more time I'm going to go insane.

I remember when I upgraded to Windows 10 and my computer went to complete shit after that. It wasn't the OS itself, on my new computer it's great, but upgrade process was just so flawed it caused endless problems.

I just felt like letting people know this. I don't think a lot of people played it, but there are some great songs in it that are worth listening to.

I know Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger, Xenoblade Chronicles) worked on it, although he's credited alongside like half a dozen other people so it's hard to know how much of the OST was him. Still, there are some songs where you listen to them and can just TELL he did it. Wouldn't sound out of place in a Chrono RPG at all.

Obviously getting even any sort of general ballpark number might be impossible, but I wanted to at least think about it a bit. "People" may be a bit vague in a lot of games, but at least even limiting it to sentient humanoid creatures should be a high number.

I was thinking that outside of the simple thousands of human enemies I've mowed down in shooting games* there's also a high number of armies I've slaughtered in strategy games. Especially games where a single unit is really meant to be like a dozen soldiers or whatever. I've committed genocide a few times and have nuked entire cities, but I don't think I've like blown up a planet or anything, even though I'm sure there are games that let you do that.

(*I remember the Uncharted games kept track of how many lives you've taken, and each one of those is good for like five or six hundred kills easy.)
